Alec Ross

Board Partner at Amplo, a global venture capital firm, Alec Ross chairs the Boards of several technology, finance, and education companies. He has been Distinguished Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and Senior Fellow at Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs, and his articles have been published on The Wall Street Journal and Foreign Policy.

During the Obama administration Alec Ross was Senior Advisor for Innovation to the Secretary of State, a role which was created to modernise diplomatic processes and strengthen areas of development in US foreign policy. Coordinator of the Technology & Media Policy Committee in the 2008 Barack Obama Presidential Campaign, he was also member of the Obama-Biden transition presidential team.

Alec Ross co-founded a technology-focused social enterprise, making it a global organisation for millions of low-income people, now active on four continents. He is the author of the bestselling book “The industries of the future”, which has been translated in 24 languages.
